Aftercare advice
I hope you enjoyed your treatment with DeLuna Wellbeing.
After your treatment it is advisable:
-
to go home, relax and avoid strenuous exercise.
-
to get plenty of sleep
-
to drink plenty of water for the next few days to flush out toxins which may have been released during treatment (around double what you would normally drink)
-
to avoid further toxins and stimulants such as alcohol/caffeine/smoking. If this is difficult for you, please try to reduce your consumption of them.
-
to eat lightly (including plenty of fruit and veg) and avoid heavy meals. Let your body use its energy for healing
-
allow 8 hours before application of make-up (where you have had a Holistic Facial treatment)
-
avoid direct sunlight (including sunbeds) for 48 hours
Your response to treatment will generally be very pleasant. However, in the process of rebalancing you may experience physical or emotional symptoms for a few days after treatment. This is due to your body releasing and letting go of toxins and clearing physical and emotional blockages. These symptoms differ from person to person and are a positive sign of the body bringing itself back into balance. These may include:
-
Feeling sleepy/tired or feeling invigorated and full of energy
-
Feeling emotional due to the release of tension
-
Increased urination/flatulence due to the detoxification process
-
Temporary flu-like symptoms
-
A slight worsening of any pre-existing symptoms - this is part of the healing process and should not last more than 24 –48 hours.
Be patient as the detox occurs. Get plenty of rest, drink lots of water and eat healthy food. If you have any worries or concerns after treatment, please contact me. It is worth writing down any symptoms or differences you feel after treatment as part of your healing journey. You can also bring this with you to any future treatments.
Some long-standing conditions may require repeat treatments and it may take a few sessions for you to notice significant changes. We can discuss any follow-up treatments.
Complementary therapies and holistic treatments should not be used as a substitute for medical treatment. If you have symptoms of illness, you should see your GP.
