Facial Massage
(Natural Lift Facial Massage/Facial Rejuvenation Massage)
This treatment (also known as the Natural Lift Facial Massage or Facial Rejuvenation Massage) is a relaxing, rejuvenating holistic treatment to condition your skin and lift your muscles

Many people suffer facial tension which builds up in the facial muscles causing puffiness, lines and wrinkles. The muscles of the face differ from those of the body in that they are directly attached to the skin that covers them. This means that when the facial muscles sag, the skin attached to them sags too.

Natural Lift Facial Massage is a holistic treatment using a unique blend of highly effective techniques drawn from Japanese facial massage (Anma) and Ayurveda (the ancient Indian healing method). It also incorporates complementary therapies from Acupressure and Facial Reflexology.

This facial massage involves a sequence of massage techniques which act as a natural facelift with no need for surgery.

This advanced method of traditional facial massage treats the surface and also deep facial tissues with highly refined, gentle hand and finger manipulation. These techniques can:
- increase blood circulation, enabling capillaries to deliver nutrients more efficiently to the skin's surface
- stimulate the nervous system
- improve lymphatic flow, transporting bacteria and toxins away from skin cells
- strengthen and tone muscles, helping prevent/reduce wrinkles, expression lines and fine lines
- repair and balance the condition of the skin, minimising the ageing process and improving the complexion and skin suppleness
- reduce and release any muscle tension in the face and jaw
- relieve stress symptoms such as insomnia, headaches and eye strain
- balancing the life force/energy holistically, helping to improve overall health and appearance of the facial tissue

Natural Lift Facial massage produces the equivalent of an acupuncture face-lift without insertion of needles. Unlike facial surgery, it has no side effects and is a very effective method of facial care. For best results, a block of 5 weekly treatments is recommended, with one treatment a month for maintenance thereafter.

However, most of my clients book this treatment purely for the relaxation and stress release benefits, opting for this for their regular self-care appointment. These massage techniques release stresses and traumas locked deeply in the muscles and energy of the face, head and neck.

What happens during treatment?
After an initial consultation, I will advise what clothing needs to be removed and how you should lie on the massage table (towels/blankets will be on the bed to cover you). I will then give you privacy to allow you to undress and get onto the massage table.
Relaxing music will be played through the treatment (unless you request otherwise).

The treatment itself begins with relaxation and energy balancing techniques, with the application of massage oil over your face, neck, shoulders and arms. This will be followed by the combination of the unique blend of facial massage techniques which include toning up, smoothing, lifting and stabilising of muscles and tissue. The treatment finishes with lymphatic drainage, scalp massage and grounding techniques.
I will then gently work through the treatment using massage oil working over your scalp, face and neck area.
How many treatments will I need?

This depends on what you want to benefit from with this treatment:

Relaxation/stress release

If you're looking purely for a session of relaxation to relax, unwind and escape the stresses of life, then you can book in for one treatment. I have many clients who come weekly, fortnightly or monthly, and they often alternate treatments having this treatment one visit, Reiki the next, massage the next etc. You will benefit from a single session, but like all treatments, you will get cumulative effects and benefits from regular appointments.

Anti-ageing/Face-lifting effects

If you are more interested in the anti-ageing effects, the overall effect of natural facelift massage has been described as a gym workout for your face but with deeply relaxing and healing effects on the whole body. Just like going to the gym on a regular basis helps keep the muscles of the body toned, regular facelift massage treatments will keep the facial muscles toned.

Although a difference can usually be seen and felt after just one treatment, the effects are cumulative and work best over a course of 4-6 weekly treatments, followed by monthly maintenance treatments (ideally you would also want to be doing facial exercises at home). Think of it like hiring a Personal Trainer (PT) to get your facial muscles back into tip-top shape and maintaining it.
I offer a discount for block bookings - 5 treatments for the price of 4 (see below for T&Cs of this).
What is the cost?
- £55 per single treatment

- £220 for a block of 5 sessions (5 treatments for the price of 4). *To receive this discount all treatments need to be paid-for up front at the time of booking, and consecutively weekly sessions booked in with me for 5 consecutive weeks to maximise the face lifting effects (this is not available to be used for ad-hoc relaxation sessions).
